Welcome to TwoMeander.com! This site is the online hub for a collaborative effort between Debra Dickinson and Robert Witham. We are video creators, authors, and nomads.

Two Meander is a collaborative project of Debra Dickinson and Robert Witham. Debra and Robert are both full-time nomads, writers, and YouTube creators. They have been friends since 2016, and have traveled together at different times. Since February 14, 2018, they live together in Fancy Free. KOKO Jack joined them March 30, 2018.

Debra Dickinson

Debra has been a fulltimer since 2/22/14, and previously lived in a vintage Class B (Fiona) and then a bumper pull (Super Spree). She has been a boondocking nomad since 10/8/15 in a 2005 Ford E350 Cargo Van (Fancy Free). Debra is a TBI thriver (traumatic brain injury), an author, and YouTube Vlogger.

She began her journey in Fancy Free with her two senior dogs, Bentley and Nonni, and now travels with Robert and their new pup, KOKO Jack.

Robert Witham

Robert supports his nomadic adventures by working as a videographer and YouTube creator. In the past, he has also supported his travels by working as a journalist and freelance writer. Robert is also the author of four non-fiction books, and still plans to complete a novel.

Robert has been a nomad at heart throughout his life, and has always traveled as much as possible. A full-time nomad since 2015, Robert has had many short-term stints as a vehicle dweller over the years.

Debra and Robert are both authors. In keeping with our “odd collaborators” theme, Debra writes fiction and Robert writes non-fiction. (He is envious because he would like to write fiction too!)

Debra will soon complete her second collection of short stories and will have it published soon. Kaleidoscope 9, her first book, contains nine short stories.

Kaleidoscope 9

Kaleidoscope 9 Book CoverKaleidoscope 9 is a collection of nine unrelated short stories written over a period of several years. With the exception of one sci-fi story, the stories in this collection are loosely based on events from Debra’s life.

Available as an e-version as well as paperback. You can also download a sample before buying. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. Thank you!

Robert is the author of four non-fiction books. Robert’s latest book, Car Living, addresses some of the challenges of living in a car or small vehicle.

Car Living

Car Living Book CoverCar living is not for everyone. This is a unique and sometimes challenging lifestyle that most people only do on a temporary basis. The majority of people who live in a car do it only until they can get back into a house or until they can upgrade to a van or RV.

The ideas presented in this book are based on my own experience with living out of a car over the years. These experiences include car dwelling that was voluntary and involuntary, short-term and long-term, urban and boondocking.

My hope with this book is to make your experience easier and, dare I say it, positive.

Minimalism Book CoverMinimalism. It is a term that has become much more popular in recent years with a number of blogs and more than a few books devoted to the topic. Many people are discovering that the dream they have been sold – that of ever-increasing affluence, unbridled consumerism, and the 50-year corporate 9-5 grind – is at best an elusive fantasy and at worst a nightmare from which there seems no escape. Minimalism, many people find, is the answer.

Minimalism is my contribution to the conversation about voluntary simplicity and, specifically, simplicity of possessions. I have been interested in simple living for as long as I can remember, and have been a minimalist since around 1999. Like many serious minimalists, everything that I own can fit into one bag. I can, and indeed have, packed to move across the country on 30 minutes notice (more than once).

Microbusinesses You Can Start Today

Microbusinesses Book CoverThere has been renewed interest in small, home-based or location-independent businesses in recent years as many people have learned that a job does not provide much security after all. A microbusiness, whether operated full-time or part-time, can increase economic security and provide income while allowing the entrepreneur to engage in work that he or she finds meaningful.

Part I of Microbusinesses You Can Start Today profiles more than 70 small business ideas that are ideally suited to being operated by a solo entrepreneur. Part II includes several chapters exploring marketing and business operations.
