Details

Koff Veterans Park is a city park in Lordsburg, New Mexico. The park has several rows of campsites, and each site has a picnic table and shelter. There are also several dumpsters at the park for trash. Water spigots are installed at each site as well, but were not operational at the time we visited.

This appears to have been a nice city park at one time. Sadly, economic hardship is evident throughout Lordsburg, and the city park is no exception. It appears that this park receives little maintenance currently. Despite the limited maintenance and some road noise (it is quieter further back in the park), this is a good spot to spend a night or two.

The driveways and parking areas are gravel, but some spots do become quite soft and muddy when it rains. It may be worth walking before driving if the ground is wet.

We last visited Koff Veterans Park in February 2018.

Directions

Take Interstate 10 to Lordsburg, New Mexico. Head south from I-10 on 494/Main Street. Turn right into Veterans Park. The park is on the south edge of the city.
