There are many resources available online for nomads. These are websites that we have found useful over the years.
Of course we have to mention the resources that we have available here at Two Meander. Our Resources section has tons of links to events, apps, and more. Our Campsite Reviews section contains high-quality reviews of campsites that we have actually visited and vetted. Our blog contains a mix of behind the scenes stories, campsite reviews, informational articles, and more.
Campsites
Campendium – This campsite review website features high-quality listings and good information. Campendium is now Robert’s favorite campsite directory resource (outside of our own directory, of course), and they also offer a free app.
iOverlander – A website database and apps for both iPhone and Android that focus on free, primitive camping. This is the newest resource that we have added to our campsite research arsenal.
Free Campsites – One of the best-known directories of free and inexpensive campsites. The quality of listings, as well as the amount of detail, varies because many are submitted by site users.
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – This is not a friendly user website. We have found that the best place to get a concise list of their locations is through their link for volunteer applications (here). Reservations for these parks are made (here). HINT: It is easier to determine the name of the location first and then type the name on the reservations page to jump directly to that location.
Community
RVillage – Many new or aspiring nomads are concerned about finding ways to meet other travelers. RVillage may be the perfect solution. Accessible via their website or apps (iOS and Android), RVillage is designed to help you “connect with other RVers wherever you are.”
Water
Glacier Water – Online directory of Glacier Water dispensers that we use regularly.
